Strawberry picking with Yolanda and Phoebe

Some friends are in your life for only a season, unfortunately, and only God knows why that is so.  Others are in your life all the time and wherever you go, there they are – and only God knows why that is so.  And then there are others, whom you don’t see very often but have been part of your life all the time.  Such is the friendship we have with Yolanda.

It was at Yolanda’s farewell party (off to London) where Candy and I met for the first time, about 7 years ago.  When we got married she was still in London but flew down as a surprise guest at our wedding!  I guess that’s why we have such a tender spot for Yolanda in our hearts.

Together with husband, Sandro (who was in South America at the time), they live in Johannesburg.  When she and her daughter, Phoebe recently visited her parents in Atlantis, we took advantage in hooking up.  We ended up picking strawberries in Stellenbosch and I couldn’t resist in snapping Phoebe.  She was such a delight and with her cute, friendly face she dazzled the camera.  We overstayed our welcome at the strawberry farm and Yolanda ended up in missing her flight back! Oops!  But on the up side, we got to spend some more time with our friend 🙂
