16 April – Families in studio

The Brown Family

What a great shoot we had with the Brown family who came all the way from Malmesbury to have the shoot done in Tableview! The kids were having fun doing back flips and scrumming with dad. I found myself admiring the boys’ demeanour and I couldn’t help think that these young lads are well on their way to becoming outstanding young men. This type of foundation can only be laid by parents with integrity. Thanks for a great shoot guys; Mom and Dad, keep up the great work!

The Dirkse Family

“Wait a minute!” That’s the famous words that came from Allysa, the energetic, charged up little girl.  We had massive fun as she took charge of the shoot.  I simply had to point and shoot as she packed out props and different clothing.  A paediatrician! That’s what she wants to be, she says with confidence and with a twinkle in her eye. “wait a minute!”, “wait a minute!” she says as she changes into yet another outfit or finds another prop, all the time clinging to her teddies that does not leave her sight.  Mel and Kurt, you guys certainly can’t be bored!

The Erasmus Family

Lynley is a pastor back in Cape Town from Loeriesfontein who arranged for a shoot with his family. Together with his wife, Estheralita, (who happens to be my cousin) are doing an amazing job of raising their kids.  It was also a good opportunity of catching up a bit but also not really, so Lynley, we’ll have to do that braai soon!

Keren and Timmy

These little ones’ personalities are like day and night from each other.  She’s a little princess looking cute in pink and he’s a boyish boy with an enquiring mind.  We had a bit of a time constraint to do everything but even in that, we had great fun capturing these images. Timmy was all over the place making new discoveries and Keren was being the perfect lady ready for the next pose…
